The Volker S 962-2 Hospital Bed meets a wide range of clinical requirements for use in acute care wards and other clinics.
It allows patients to advance through the various steps of mobilisation, with
support from caregivers - from sitting in the Easy Chair position through to
standing and getting out of the bed safely.

Not every patient who is unable or unwilling to leave their bed is completely immobile. Physical complaints or medi- cal interventions often prevent a patient from leaving the bed from the side. But even if this is the case, mobilisation is possible if the bed can be adjusted to allow the patient to sit facing forward so that their feet can make safe contact with the ground straight away.
